I actually read Cavan and Honora's book first and then skipped straight to this book. I just had to find out what happened to Carissa, the much hated daughter of Mordrac the Barbarian. Carissa is a petite little blonde who is gorgeous but she is known to be as vicious and cruel as her father Mordrac. She laughs while others are being punished, and is a fighter all the way! She is hated by many and after her father is captured and put to death by the new chieftain of the clan Sinclare Cavan, she is on the run. Many hunt her, wanting her death but none want to see her suffer like Ronan Sinclare. Believing she had the woman he loved put to death, Ronan cannot return home until he has seen Carissa punished. Carissa evades him at every turn but eventually he does find her and what he finds is not quite what he expects. Is Carissa really the hard core B**** everyone assumes she is or is there more feeling to her than anyone knows. LOVED this story! Carissa is an unexpected heroine and I love that eventually her story comes to light. She is stronger than many of the warriors surrounding her and she doesn't try to defend her actions. You either trust her or you don't. She doesn't beg and she is always ready to face responsibility for her actions. Life has made her hardcore but she has a heart of gold but if you can't see that, she is not gonna force you to. Ronan is the younger brother everyone thought they had to take care of but he has grown into quite the warrior. I love that he is finally reunited with his brothers after their long search for him. I am glad to see Cavan relieved of his guilt for not protecting Ronan even if it does make him a tad overprotective of Ronan where Carissa is concerned. No worries Honora helps keep Cavan in line as these two discover their love for each other. I love their love story but I really admired the hell out of Carissa. We also get to see the Sinclare boys mother, Addie, rediscover love. It was nice to see her smile again. Not a bad buy at all!

I really enjoyed all four books, I love to read this historical timeframe. The Scottish stories are the best, thanks for creating.
I enjoyed reading this book, but I could almost tell what would happen next. I'm glad this was the last brother .
This is undoubtedly the best book of the series. Donna Fletcher has written another masterpiece. It was so good I nearly read the whole book in one setting. I would recommend it to anyone.
Loved this last of the sinclare series more. It brought more tears with all the poor heroine had to endure. But, loved the ending of course, through happy tears. A must read.
Wow, what an adventure! From slavery, revenge, secrets and hate, to a chance at love. Ronan Sinclare, age 25 and Calissa, age 20, daughter of the Clan Sinclare's enemy, the action is non-stop. A great read.
I have enjoyed this series greatly. The brothers and their wives are a varied mix. It would be great fun to be at the dinner table with them. They share great love and humor. They complement each other.

This story had several twists and turns which made it interesting. However, I don't feel like it really picked up where book 3 left off. Nor did it mesh well with other details in book 3. However, I'd give it 4.5 stars if that were an option.

Unanswered questions who is Septimus really and what will happen to Addie and Hagan?
This is an awesome Read! I loved this story, and think it is the best story from the four books in this series, the author kept the best for last. I loved the hero and the heroine, and their story is amazing. I am so happy the heroine found happiness after what her evil, psychotic father had put her through. I also loved that all the characters from the previous books were in this story, and thrilled about the surprise for one of the dear characters from the other books in this series. I loved the ending, and would definitely recommend this book!
